As a supporter of the ULP, I thought that if I went public with my humble advice, that the PM might listen. I also thought that it really didn’t matter if he knew my name or not. The important thing is the advice which I hope he will take to heart.
Now, Mr. PM, I notice that the Opposition Leader is making all kinds of visits to different constituencies during which he is meeting with a lot of young people. From their reports, it seems he is getting a good reception and is striking up a rapport with the young people especially.
Young people, as you know Mr. PM, usually hold the sway and it is important that you give them an ear and show them respect.
I must say that I have not seen you doing your usual get out and meet the people tours. This was your style and it worked in your favour. I hope that you have not abandoned it.
There are a lot of things happening on the ground which you might think are not happening and you need to hear about these firsthand. So I am calling on you, Mr. PM, to start a meet the young people tour very soon. These tours will bring you closer to the issues and social situations that are bothering our young people.
Take my advice, my PM, and start your constituency tours soon.
