I have always been told if you have nothing good to say, it is best you say nothing. This is a truism that seems to discombobulate the NDP. Job said “Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace! And it should be your wisdom”.
There is no greater measure of a man than to overcome the limitations of life including resources to be able to achieve levels of greatness. I am not saying the young man is great, but he has risen beyond the circumstances he was born in. This should be celebrated.
It is of no human or political value to attempt to reduce the hard work and success of Dr Orando Brewster simply because he is a political foe. Does that make his academic achievement less worthy of celebration? Does it make him less worthy of being a doctor whether he practices or not?
To think that in 2020 that a young man offering himself to serve his community must defend himself against persons who practice gross ignorance and deceit is a great shame. History will not be kind to such individuals.
It is the same attitude that was adopted to the Rabacca bridge and the Argyle International Airport. Everything this nation tries to achieve is either too good for us or we are too poor. When we aspire to excel, we are told constantly by the NDP that our ambition must match our wallet. Well no one ever got far with that sort of mentality.
It is not surprising that the NDP has failed to even attract any young and bright candidate even as it claims it is the hottest ticket in town. So why the young people not buying? If you look at the narrative coming out of the NDP camp, this is a party in a wrestle against its own self and continues to own its madness.
