Have you ever supported the New Democratic Party?
Of course, I don’t have to lie about that, said ULP South Leeward hopeful Dr Mineva Glasgow.
Dr Mineva Glasgow who appeared live on the WakeUp Call with Tha Fugitive and Christal on Xtreme104.3FM yesterday had an early baptism in competitive politics as she introduced herself to the public as the ULP candidate for the South Leeward constituency.
When asked about her previous support for the NDP, the fiery motivational speaker and former Deputy Director of the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) said:
“My father who was from Sion Hill supported the PPP at the time, when the PPP, well you know what happened, became NDP and my father continued. You know as children your socialisation process automatically will point you in a certain direction. So I did support them”.
“But as time evolved and I saw what was happening, I changed. I won’t say when I changed, I changed a long time, years ago”.
“Everybody know that my father was a staunch supporter [of the NDP], but as I told my Youth Arm last night…I have been observing what is happening in the country and I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the ULP has done much more and I am a progressive individual”.
