NDP TO CREATE 250 BUSINESSES, 5000 JOBS BY 2025–FITZ BRAMBLE

KINGSTOWN, SVG (BreadFruit News) – Touting his economics credentials, the New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate for East Kingstown has promised that his party will bring ‘HOPE’ to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The first time candidate said at a NDP Virtual Public Meeting on the 11th September:

“The NDP in government will bring hope to this country. And when we talk about hope, we are not just talking about some philosophy, some idea. We have practical ways of expressing how we are going to bring hope. H.O.PE- Helping Our People Excel”.

“We have an initiative that will create 250 businesses and 5000 jobs by 2025” said the Economic Development Coordinator for Estevan city in Saskatchewan, Canada .

“And I know some people say Bramble stay away from the figures, don’t get into too much details. Well as an Economist, I do my homework and I do my research and I have to present my research professionally so when people come and try question my credibility, then they will have to think twice”.

“And that is why I get into some of the details sometimes”.

In outlining how the programme will work, he told the live audience and those following across the party channels:

“HOPE will target young people and women and it will create opportunities in business from every conceivable sector. Information technology, robotics, agriculture and agri-value, tourism, performance arts, you name it, opportunities will be provided”.

“It will be capitalised with $10 million dollars and eventually upscaled and upgraded to a hundred million dollars. Sources of funding would be various, our CBI programme, foreign direct investment, Vincentians in the diaspora, local business people will all contribute to the success of Hope and the HOPE programme would be administered primarily by a Youth Parliament which would be established by this NDP government”.

“That youth parliament will run with that HOPE programme and make it work. Not like a Pryme programme that is an election gimmick”.
