In an ‘Ask me anything question’ time on Instagram, X-Factor superstar and winner of the 15th season of the show in 2018 told fans last Friday that “I have no sexual orientation” in response to a question on the social media platform.
This is in stark contrast to his stinging rebuttal when controversy erupted over his sexuality in 2018.
The 26 year old Jamaican singer who is signed with VP records had to defend his sexuality during the competition when a photo of him sitting in fellow male contestant Brendan Murray lap. The matter received much press in the UK and in the Caribbean especially Jamaica where the singing sensation is originally from.
“If I didn’t know myself I would have been broken today by all the ignorance! I would have actually believed what you thought of me, good thing I know exactly who I am and I am far from broken…You cannot touch me mentally or in any other way. So believe me when I say I am not phased.”
In a separate video posted on his social media pages, Harris at the time said that he was not gay and was one hundred percent secure with his sexuality.
The singer who also faced threats from an old girlfriend who threatened to release a sex tape and nude pictures also told fans that he loved chocolates of ‘all colours and shades’. I love variety, he said.
