Former model turned musician ‘Yugge Farrell’ who also goes by the name ‘Jahdatta’ has called out NDP activists who have been using her situation to score political brownie points with the electorate.
Activists including Travis Harry and Luzette King has said the upcoming general election among other things is about ‘Justice for Yugge’.
However, the upset famed model said in a recent social media post:
“Stop buying dem jerseys, I ain’t give nobody permission to use my image on their merchandise, that’s infringement on my name and a divide to my music fanbase in St. Vincent, somebody go rip dem posters down for me dey, I aint no political poster child, I’m a musician.”
Just recently, Ms King who has been staunchly supporting the NDP said that “An X for the NDP on November 5, 2020, is also an X “in support of Yugge, the young and upcoming model who could have put SVG and the region on the world stage of modelling and all the other women and girls who have been sexually abused.”
A caller to one of the morning radio programs also complained that NDP candidates and canvassers have been walking around some constituencies with pictures and posters of Yugge on the campaign trail.
