GONSALVES PLEDGES TO MAKE FRIDAY A HOLIDAY TO CELEBRATE

A confident Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has one eye on elections day and the other on the future. While encouraging party supporters at meetings in Central Leeward and North Leeward recently to go and vote overwhelmingly for the ULP, Gonsalves said that the country will celebrate the milestone.

Gonsalves if successful will lead his party to an unprecedented 5th term.

He said that most schools will close on Wednesday for preparations for the general elections as they will be used as polling stations. The government has started the distribution of over 17, 000 Samsung 8” tablets across secondary schools.

A confident Gonsalves told party supporters:

“Friday is a holiday because we have to enjoy we self when we win the election.”

“You going vote for Friday and Patel to hand out the rest of the tablets which we buy? You got to let me and Carlos distribute them because all of them are not going to be distributed until the week following the elections.”

Last night, the Prime Minister went further to ask General Secretary Julian Francis to leave up the stage and sound system from the party’s final rally at the old E.T. Joshua Airport runway in anticipation of the victory rally.
