DR FRIDAY FINALLY SAYS THANKS

After Breadfruit News and political observers raised the matter publicly that Opposition Leader Dr Godwin Friday had been silent since the elections results, a post on his Facebook social media page finally said “Thank You” more than two days after the event.

Dr Friday who was seen in photos and videos across St. Vincent and the Grenadines on elections day was not visible since the close of polls which angered many including some supporters who were looking for leadership following the election defeat.

In his absence, some NDP activists have organised their own protest action for tomorrow Monday 9th November.

Friday who has still not been seen publicly since losing the general elections that his NDP was widely accepted to win is attributed to have said:

“Friends, Thanks to all of you for rallying with us throughout this difficult election. By your vote, giving the NDP and me as leader a majority of the votes cast, you made it clear that you want change and that you prefer the NDP to be our government.”

“Thank you for your confidence in me. Know that I am as determined as ever to bring about that change and deliver hope to our people. Let’s stay positive. Let’s be as committed as ever to our purpose. I will say more to the nation in a subsequent address. God bless you.”
