NIGERIAN STUDENT CHARGED WITH STEALING FROM POLICE

Samuel Omidoyn, a 33-year-old Nigerian student resident here in St Vincent and the Grenadines, will return to Court April 12, 2020 for trial on a charge of stealing from a police officer.

Omidoyn is accused of stealing a Samsung cellular phone along with sim card, memory card and phone case, all belonging to Sergeant Rawl Pope of Lowmans Leeward, and amounting to a total value of $840.

The offence was allegedly committed at Arnos Vale on January 22.

The Nigerian pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Rickie Burnett at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

He is on station bail and was represented in Court by attorney Michael Wyllie.
