The men identified as Joel Joseph, Nick Raghubar, Javin Boston, Orland Roberts, Richard Ramnarine, Shirvin Oneil, Toney Garraway, Errol Gardener, Orland Roberts, Christopher Shaw, Shirvin Oneil and Randy Henry will leave Port Güiria aboard their vessels the Nady Nayera and Sea Wolf.

Both governments are tight-lipped over what led to the fishermen’s release. But Guyana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Todd indicated to local media that he will make a statement soon.

Venezuela has been under increased international pressure to release the men, who were detained in waters recognised as Guyana’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
