SVG LOCAL WEATHER UPDATE

On the southern edge of an Atlantic High-Pressure System, few lower-level cloud patches could bring isolated showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

Occasional cloudy skies and a few showers are expected late Wednesday into Thursday, possibly lingering on Friday due to weak pulses in the wind-flow.

Moderate to fresh (`~ 25 – 35 km/h) east north-easterly trades could increase (near 40 km/h) across our islands tonight. Steady fresh breeze can be expected across SVG Wednesday, with higher gusts during the night (near 50 km/h). Occasionally strong (near 45 km/h) gusts can be expected during Thursday and a temporary reduction in wind-speeds (`~ 20 – 30 km/h) is likely Friday.

Moderate sea-conditions with east north-easterly swells are expected across our islands tonight, near 1.5 m on western coasts and up to 2.5 m on eastern coasts…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should continue to exercise caution…Steady fresh-strong breeze could result in rising swell heights (near 1.8 m) on western coasts of SVG Thursday evening and again during Friday night.
