ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES RECEIVED 5000 DOSES OF COVID-19 VACCINE FROM DOMINICA

Yesterday (Thursday 11th February, 2021) St Vincent and the Grenadines received through the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment a shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine Covishield (Indian) AstraZeneca from the Government and People of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The vaccines arrived in St Vincent and the Grenadines on a Regional Security System aircraft.

The shipment was received at the Argyle International Airport (AIA) by Minister of Health Wellness and the Environment (HWE), Hon. St. Clair ‘Jimmy’ Prince, along with Minister of Education & National Reconciliation Hon. Curtis King, Mr. Cuthbert Knight Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of HWE and Mrs. Corsel Robertson, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Inc.

According to the Ministry the 5000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine Covishield (Indian) AstraZeneca are enough for 2,500 persons.

The Ministry on behalf of the Government and People of SVG extends a heartfelt thank you to the Government and People of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
