Scientists observing the ongoing effusive eruption of La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent and the Grenadines are hoping for good weather this weekend.
NEMO in its latest update says the team from the Soufriere Monitoring Unit will conduct a drone survey and take aerial photographs of the volcano tomorrow, once the weather condition is good.
In terms of what the team has been up to, testing and preparation to install a permanent multi-gas monitoring instrument at the top of the volcano continue while the training of local volunteers in seismic data processing continued today.
Professor Richard Robertson, a Geologist with the Seismic Research Centre will re-join the team on March 15.
NEMO is reminding the public that no evacuation order or notice has been issued.
It continues to appeal to the public to desist from visiting the La Soufrière Volcano, especially going into the crater, since doing so is extremely dangerous.
