OVER 7,000 COVID-19 VACCINE DOSES ADMINISTERED IN ST VINCENT

Vincentians have been heeding the call to go out and take the COVID-19 vaccine.  

According to the Ministry of Health, 7,759 vaccine doses have been administered as of March 11.  

No new positive COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday from 299 samples received and processed on March 10. Six persons were cleared bringing the number of total recoveries to eleven 1120.

Five hundred and forty-six cases remain active and eight persons with COVID-19 have died. Since March last year, 1674 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in St Vincent and the Grenadines.  

The public is urged to use a mask, sanitise, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St Vincent and the Grenadines.  

The Ministry reminds that the walk-in Vaccination Site at Victoria Park is open will continue to March 13.
