A message from Senator The Hon. Keisal Peters, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in celebration of the first anniversary of The Organisation of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States officially became the Organisation of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) on April 5, 2020. This follows the entry into force of the revised Georgetown Agreement which was endorsed by the ACP Heads of State at the 9th Summit of ACP Heads of State of Government in December 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is amongst 79 Member States that makes up the OACPS, where countries collaborate to strengthen regional integration, continental, intra-OACPS cooperation, as well as North-South , South-South, and Triangular Cooperation which is instrumental in promoting development based on its guiding principles of subsidiarity, complementarity, and proportionality.
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines join The OACPS in celebrating its first anniversary today, April 8, 2021 under the theme “OACPS of the future: Transition, Solidarity, Unity”.
