ALL OPERATIONS AT THE ARGYLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT REMAIN SUSPENDED

Due to significant ash deposits caused by the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano, all operations at the Argyle International Airport, have been suspended as the facility undergoes rigorous clean-up of runways and aprons.

The initial suspension of operations was tentatively until 4:00pm on Monday April 19, 2021. The clean-up work continues and notwithstanding tremendous progress, today’s assessment indicates that it is not possible to commence operations at AIA, today, April 19, 2021.

A new update will be provided as soon as possible.

Airports in the Grenadines:

  • An update on operations at the J.F. Mitchell Airport in Bequia will be provided shortly.
  • The Canouan, Union Island and Mustique airports remain operational from 9:00am to 5:00pm, only to accommodate special flights with prior permission.

Further information on the operational status of all airports in SVG will be given soon as possible.
