A labourer is St Vincent and the Grenadines’ latest murder victim.
The deceased has been identified as Alwin Franklyn, 53, of Dickson, Georgetown.
According to investigations, about 10:10 last night police at the Georgetown Police Station were alerted to a chopping incident that occurred at Dickson.
On arrival at the scene, the victim was found unresponsive with multiple chop wounds. He was subsequently pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted on the body to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Franklyn’s death marks the 21st murder and the 22nd homicide recorded in St Vincent and the Grenadines for 2021.
Investigations are ongoing.
