Michael Scott will appear at the Biabou Magistrate’s Court today (Friday) in connection with the seizure of 222 pounds of marijuana with intent to supply, and possession of the drug for the purpose of drug trafficking.
Scott who is from Glen but resides in Union Island, was jointly charged with Marvin Albert of Grenada, but while Albert pleaded guilty during their appearance at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday, Scott maintained his innocence.
Prosecutor Renrick Cato informed the Court that while the prosecution accepted Albert’s guilty plea, they would be proceeding against Scott.
Scott was granted $50,000 bail with one surety, with reporting conditions, and ordered to surrender all travel documents.
Stop notices are to be placed at all ports of entry and exit, and he is not, to leave the state without the permission of the Serious Offences Court or a higher court.
The matter was transferred to the Biabou Magistrate’s Court where he would receive further direction, with regard to his trial.
