Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves was said to be doing “well” after leaving the country over the Easter weekend for medical treatment.
Deputy Prime Minister, Montgomery Daniel provided no details on the condition of the prime minister except to add that they all wished him well and that the other members of Cabinet will continue to “hold the fort” until his return.
Gonsalves, while speaking on radio on April 17 indicated that he was traveling to Venezuela and possibly Cuba for medical attention.
He said that he started experiencing what he described as an excruciating pain on his right side and that he sought medical attention on Good Friday when he was advised to do a full check-up.
