The Taiwan ICDF, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at the National Dong Hwa University, are currently recruiting Vincentian students to be trained as Linux RedHat Certified System Administrators or MongoDB Certified Database Developers.
Vincentian students and students from countries in the Caribbean and Latin America that have allies with Taiwan are welcome to participate.
The list of countries are Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Christopher and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Haiti, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Paraguay.
Online Training Course for IT Certificates
Training Introduction Talent in AI, IoT, cloud services, and the development and application of Big Data analytics are highly demanded by major enterprises.
This training would assist allies in nurturing cloud computing and AI-related professional information technology personnel, as these resources are in high demand in the technology employment market.
The training program has the themes of the databank development technology “MongoDB” and operating system application – “Linux RedHat”, most widely used in the industry.
Course Arrangement
MongoDB (10-12 hours a week, 153 hours in all)

- MongoDB certificate mock exam
Linux RedHat (15-21 hours a week, 233 hours in all)
- RedHat operation and application
- RedHat practical Lab
- RedHat certificate mock exam
Training periods:
The 1st batch 5/20/2022 – 8/19/2022 (registered by 5/31)
Online course: May 20 to August 12, 2022
Online certificate mock exam: August 13 to 19, 2022.
The 2nd batch 8/26/2022 – 11/25/2022 (registered by 6/30)
Online course: August 26 to November 18, 2022
Online certificate mock exam: November 18 to 25, 2022.
Language of instruction: English
Obtaining either certificate will give students more significant opportunities for high-paying careers.
IT certificate exam subsidy:
To enhance the competitiveness of trainees’ employment, trainees who complete these valuable training courses will possess the ability to take the MongoDB or Linux RedHat certificate exam.
Taiwan ICDF will reimburse students the half of registration fee for the certificate exam one time only. After students pass the exam, they can get the full reimbursement.
Eligibility
People aged over 18 with their PC in the eight allied countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Linux RedHat: possess general computer skills such as word processing, file management, and surfing the Internet. Etc.
MongoDB: have operating system concepts (such as Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, etc.); understand SQL and have JavaScript basic programming ability; people with high-level language programming ability such as C/C++. Java and Python are preferred.
