Jessica Nabongo has been to every country in the world but one state in the Caribbean has a special place in her heart.
What country is that you might wonder? It’s St Vincent and the Grenadines!
The 38-year-old globe trotter, who is the first black woman to travel to every country on earth, said St Vincent and the Grenadines is one place every traveller should add to their list.
“I feel like St Vincent is a country that no one thinks about. It’s close, it’s in the Caribbean but no one thinks about going there,” Nabongo told radio host Angela Yee during an appearance on the “Breakfast Club” to promote her new book “Catch Me If You Can”. The is published by National Geographic and takes readers on a journey to 100 of the 195 on earth.
Nabongo told Yee, who has been to the island of Canouan in the past, that she plans on returning to the luxury island of Mustique to celebrate her milestone 40th birthday.
“I love those little, tiny places…I don’t know who is going to be down to do this for my 40th but I’m just gonna let people know,” she added.
Nabongo is encouraging Americans to visit the Caribbean to spread their wings and enjoy the beautiful beaches, culture and food.
