The Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Timothy N.J. Antoine is set to continue his 2022 round of Country Outreach Missions, with a stop in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from 12 to 16 September.

Governor Antoine will commence his engagements by discussing key issues with Prime Minister, the Honourable Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and the Minister for Finance, the Honourable Camillo Gonsalves.

The ECCB delegation will visit the C.W. Prescod Primary School, the ECCB Mentorship School, on the afternoon of 12 September. The ECCB Primary School Mentorship Programme was launched 15 years ago, in October 2007. The programme targets students in Grades 4 – 6 from eight primary schools – one in each ECCB member country – ensuring that they receive mentorship and financial education during their last three years of primary school.

On September 14, the Governor and his delegation will pay a courtesy call on Governor General, Her Excellency Dame Susan Dougan. The Governor and his team will then make a presentation to the Cabinet of Ministers on the ECCU’s Performance and Prospects.

Later that same day, the delegation will meet with Leader of the Opposition, Honourable Dr Godwin Friday.

During the broadcast, Governor Antoine will take questions from the audience. The public is encouraged to call or send questions via the social media platforms.

The ECCB’s delegation to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines includes: Director of the Research, Statistics and Data Analytics Department, Teresa Smith; Head of the Advisory Services Unit in the Governor’s Immediate Office, Dr. Emefa Sewordor, and Acting Director of the Corporate Relations Department, Shermalon Kirby.

As part of his 2022 round of Country Outreach Missions, the Governor visited Anguilla in May, Montserrat in June and Saint Lucia in July.
