SVG MAINTAINED HIGH PASS RATES IN MOST SUBJECTS FOR CAPE

This country’s preliminary results of the June/July 2022 Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) were released on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 by the Ministry of Education.

According to a press release from the ministry, there was a candidate entry of 584; 558 of whom were from the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College and 26 Private Candidates. The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College candidates sat 1890 examinations in 22 different subjects.

The release also said passing grades (Grades 1 to V) were obtained in 1659 subject sittings representing an overall pass rate of 87.78%. This represents a slight decrease compared to the 2021 results where the overall pass rate was 91.22%.

For CAPE 2022, the following subjects recorded a 100% pass rate:

Ministry also noted that this year’s results show that high pass rates have been maintained in most subjects taken. Other Advanced Proficiency Subjects were taken at the Cambridge International Examinations. These are reported on separately.
